Khao San Nightlife
Khao San nightlife is fueled by the many clubs, pubs and bars, which remain lively until daybreak. Center Khao Sarn is located right in the middle of Khao San Road and is the perfect place to sit and watch the goings on of this lively street. Where you may spot “Angels” with wings outside the Suzy bar just off Khao Sarn Road serving spirits. Center Khao Sarn and Mulligans, which is also located on Khao San Road, are open 24 hours a day for those who want to keep the party going until the early hours.
Khao San Club Culture
To start with, Sabai Bar and Gulliver’s Traveler’s Tavern are two more bars located on Khao San Road worth a visit.
On Rambuttri Road, Molly Bar and Bangkok Bar are two of the favourites, and become particularly lively at the weekends. If you enjoy live music try ‘Adhere the 13th’ on Sam Sen Road (near Chakrabongse Road) for live Blues, Brick Bar on Khao San Road for Ska and Reggae or ‘Jazz Happens!’ on Phra Athit for some great live Jazz.
When it’s time to dance you have a number of choices in the Khao San Road area, although many of the clubs close around 1am. On Khao San Road itself a couple of the best are Lava Club and The Club.
Gazebo Club
Gazebo Club is located on Chakrabongse Road and stays open until 6am for those with energy to spare. A slight distance from Khao San Road, on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, is Club Culture which is one of Bangkok’s biggest and best clubbing venues – definitely worth the trip.
When all these choices prove too much, you can always sit and have a drink at one of the many vans that have been transformed in to bars parked all around the Khao San Road area!
