I always wanted to go on a cheap Bali holidays and spend a relaxing weekend on the idyllic island. When Air Asia offered the cheap air tickets to Bali, I grabbed the offer and planned a 4D3N Bali Tour Package with a friend who has never visited Bali.
Cheap Air Tickets to Bali
It was not as easy as it seems because somehow the ticket prices went up on the day we wanted to make the booking. After some research, we stumbled upon another method to get cheap air tickets. That is to buy going and return flight from two different airlines and save at least 30% – our air tickets were 38% cheaper than if we were to use the same budget airline.
Cheap Bali Hotels
We decided to stay at Legian area which is north of Kuta, the most popular area for tourists in Bali. Kuta is usually packed with a lot backpackers and it is not as family friendly because the traffic is horrendously messy and is dotted with many pubs and clubs.
Legian is much quieter as it is located away from public access road and yet it’s just 15 minutes walk away from the beach and Kuta area. The hotels we shortlisted in Legian area are inexpensive and they look good on the pictures shown on the websites.
Online Hotel Booking
Hotel reservation is straight forward – we have been making our own hotel booking online using Agoda.com and Booking.com.
We did a comparison of prices for the same hotel between the at least two online hotel booking websites and select the cheaper offer. We suggest that you take the room with breakfast, as most of the restaurants in Legian do not open until 10am. Otherwise, you will have to walk to Kuta area for the fast food joints.
