The Langham Place Mongkok hotel is conveniently located near the Mongkok MTR station and is a pleasant 25-minute walk from the Star Ferry which leads directly to Nathan Road.
You do not have to worry about access since it is close to both the MTR station and the Ferry. What more, the Langham Place Mall is located close to the hotel which makes it doubly pleasant for tourists who want to shop around. The Hotel is affordable by international standards and at around USD258 for a couple (breakfast included). It is definitely light on your wallet considering that it can be classified as a high end 5-Star Luxury hotel.
What I like about Langham Place Hotel Hong Kong
During my stay there, what struck me was the wide variety of options that guests can avail themselves in their stay at the hotel. From fast and secure internet access to IPhone usage (both of which are free) to a rooftop pool where one can go for a leisurely swim. The hotel offers all the amenities that guests look for in a 5-Star Hotel.
We got a newspaper under our door all the days and there was a coffee machine in our room which meant that one could brew a cuppa and enjoy it while reading the paper. The other thing that I liked about the hotel was the bed was really comfortable and there was a huge TV as well. I could catch up with what was happening in the world from my bed. What would interest you further is that the buffet breakfast was sumptuous meaning you could have a heavy breakfast and then have a light lunch so that you are all ready for your visits around town.
What I dislike about Langham Place Hotel Hong Kong
Though the overwhelming impression that I got about the hotel was positive to the point of being delighted, there were a few things that I want them to improve upon. First, the mobile connectivity is erratic in the rooms and given the ratings that the hotel gets, I am surprised that not many guests complaining about this.
Next, the provision of internet is on level 5 and there is some waiting time to get a terminal which is understandable during peak hours. But, I went there after lunch when most guests would be occupied otherwise and still had to wait for my turn. Maybe, the hotel can increase the number of terminals that are dedicated for internet access.
How to Get to Langham Place Hotel Hong Kong
The location of the Mongkok MTR station nearby is an advantage that the hotel has which when coupled with the convenient ride from the airport is surely a plus for the hotel. To top it all, the fairly large Langham Place shopping mall is located next to the hotel.
