For those who have been to Tokyo before and is not keen to shop at those posh shopping centers in central Tokyo like Ginza, Shibuya and Shinjuku, you may want to try something different. Venture a little further for a lot more discount when you shop at a factory outlet mall. Tokyo (metropolitan area) has a couple of factory outlets which are easily accessible by the train and it’s worth to check them out.
1. Garden Walk Makuhari

The further you travel from Tokyo, the bigger the factory outlet. The Sano Premium Outlets located about 90km north of Tokyo has 180 outlet stores. And if that is not big enough, travel about 120km south of Tokyo, near Mt Fuji, is the Gotemba Premium Outlets which has 210 outlet stores.
