The first Universal Studios to open in Southeast Asia, Universal Studios Singapore certainly lives up to its promise of being a one-of-a-kind theme park. Universal Studios Singapore theme park occupies 20 hectares of Resorts World Sentosa
(圣淘沙名胜世界) and 18 of the 24 attractions have been originally adapted for the theme park.
It features seven uniquely themed zones surrounding a lagoon, namely, Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away and Madagascar. Other popular attractions in the theme park include the world’s tallest pair of dueling roller coasters (Battlestar Galactica), TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle, Revenge of the Mummy and Shrek 4D.

Aside from the entertainment and adventure attractions, guests can also look forward to the retail outlets, restaurants and food carts in the theme park. Many guests visit its collectible and souvenir shops and hardly leave the stores with empty hands.
In addition, visitors can also check out other shopping establishments in Resorts World Sentosa such as Victoria’s Secret, Bulgari, Chanel and Resorts World Gift Shops and most of them are opened 24 hours. They may also stay in the surrounding hotels in Resorts World Sentosa: Crockfords Tower, Hotel Michael, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore and Festive Hotel.
Universal Studios Singapore Tickets
Open from 10:00am daily, Universal Studios Singapore offers three different types of Day Passes. Different rates apply to different age groups, namely, adult, child and senior:
- One Day Non-Peak Pass (SGD68 for Adult / SGD50 for Child)
- One Day Peak Pass (SGD74 for Adult / SGD54 for Child)
- Two Day Pass (SGD118 for Adult / SGD88 for Child)
Annual passes for unlimited usage for one year from the date of issuance are also available. There are three different types of Annual Passes – Fun Pass, Action Pass and Superstar Pass.
How to Get There
Universal Studios Singapore and the entire Resorts World Sentosa can be easily reached through different transportation options:
By Bus – Take bus numbers RWS 8, 188R, 963R, NR1 and NR6.
By MRT – Take North East Line Railway System and alight at Harbourfront Station (NE1) and take the Sentosa Express located on Level 3 Vivocity (S$3.00) or take RWS 8 (S$2.00) at the bus stop outside Vivocity.
By Taxi – Guests can also get to Resorts World Sentosa in 10 minutes from Singapore’s Central Business District or 25 minutes from Changi Airport.
Other transportation options include cable car ride and tourists coaches.
